The subject of the film is a wartime captain and writer at the same time. Despite being two separate fields of life, having no other choice, he has to merge two lives into one: the cruel reality of a war in Ukraine with his artistic nature as a writer. The movie showcases how Ukrainians are dealing with wartime troubles and challenges they have, especially if the real world prepared something completely different from what their nature is and what they dreamt of. The director, Andrii, tried to capture the beautiful soul and unbendable strength of will of Ukrainians, praying for their victory.

Inspired by 1960s television and Dean Martin's style, it featured croon, blues, and vintage pop, marking Andrii Venislavskyi’s debut as both actor and director. Praised for its cozy atmosphere, the show followed a consistent format of songs, humorous moments, and a calm closing number. A 17th episode was never released, and Andrii has expressed interest in reviving the series with a larger budget in the future.
